George Nelson was regarded as one of the most influential designers of the twentieth century.

Born in 1908, the American designer would have celebrated his 100th birthday in 2008 - just a few short years ago. To commemorate this occasion, the Vitra Design Museum is touring the first comprehensive retrospective of Nelson’s work.

The exhibition is currently in Seattle’s Bellevue Art Museum and will be heading to Cranbrook Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills in 2012.
